Konnitiva!Yesterday an intern
Saki from Nagoya, Japan came to Ukraine to participate in World Without Borders project. So, I was asked to spend some time with her and go with her to train, cause she's going to Berdyansk.
As somebody of you know or don't,
I've learned Japanese for about 3 years, studying at Kyiv-Mohyla Collegium. It was really great for me to speak with her Japanese. Of course, I don't know it well to speak only it, but still
we started our conversation in Japanese. Simple words like 'Konnitiva', 'Anatava dou deska', 'Vatasino namae va Kuroto des', 'Vatasi va Ukurainadzin des' (which means 'Hello!', 'How are you', 'My name is Kuroto (Black man :) )', 'I am Ukrainian')..
Then we spoke English but still I added some words in Japanese. For example, when we went on Railway Station, Saki could be hitted by one of the men, who didn't see his way and went with large bag... So, I said
'Abunai', which means 'Careful' and Saki just reacted immediately and was not hitted. I think if I said 'Careful' it was not so warning as in her own language.
Also I calculated how much will be yen to hryvna. So,
1 hryvna is about 24 yens. For example, Orbit which in Ukraine cost no more the 2 hryvnyas, in Japan cost just about 4 hryvnyas...
So, this was unique experience.
You see, this is great feeling, remembering the time I've learned Japanese. We have left with some of classmates after classes 2 times a week, when everyone already had fun or went for a beer. But know I am happy that I've studied it :))
Sayonara!!! :)
