The best year of my life
Not too long ago I came from center, where I spent some time with my friends Ihor from Canada and Slavik. Ihor is going tomorrow on plane to London, where he will celebrate New Year and then back to Vancouver. During last words of our today’s conversation Ihor asked me “Can you say that this year of your life was the best one?”. I said: “Yes, definitely” without hesitation. Ihor answered: “For me too”. Tommorow he will be in a trip and it is so a nice feeling, when you know that you have friends in a lot of countries in the world and everybody of them are constantly developing themselves and will reach a top in future and you gonna meet them there.
Our conversation with Ihor really motivated me to summarize this year. So, here I would like to write a short review of it:
• In the beginning of this year I was wondering how I can be useful for people. I wondered if somebody needed my knowledge, my rap poetry and I really felt a bit depressed. This period I was doing almost nothing. I was wasting time with some friends, watching almost all series of “South Park” etc. I was living like in a movie “Day of mormot”, where you get up and every day is the same. Only when I got out from this period I realized a true value of time and now try to spend every second in development
• The crucial moment of the year were elections in AIESEC Kyiv. I saw that during the period of my time-wasting people with whom I came to organization achieved a lot and it motivated me for a work.
• Next stages of my life really can be divided by conferences: Black Sea Youth Congress – got to know AIESEC better and felt like a true part of it, Leadership Development Seminar – realized my issue – IT Consulting, Autumn Conference – great time spent with AIESEC IS Team on development of strategy, New Horizons – understanding of management better. My emotions about most of this events you can read on my blog.
• Some more valuable things during my year is marriage of my sister and then birth of my niece Nastya, my work in AIESEC on different levels and nice autumn trimestr at Mohylyanka.
• One more thing I would really like to mention is Personal Development. Thanks to Steve Pavlina (www.stevepavlina.com) I started to live in Personal Development lifestyle. I have set my goals, understood my values and strengthes and try to develop in order to be more useful for people and myself
• But the main thing that happened in my life are… you. All these people who are reading this blog, all people that are somehow connected to AIESEC. Now I can not imagine my life without you and knowing that you are near me makes me happy.
I truly believe that this year was the best in your life as it was for me!
Happy New Year!
